Steam-distilled from the dried seeds of Myristica fragrans in Indonesia, Nutmeg Essential Oil is one of the great warming oils of aromatherapy — spicy, sweet, and deeply comforting. It adds cosy autumnal depth to diffuser blends, supports tired muscles in massage, and brings a grounding warmth to any seasonal composition.
Use sparingly — Nutmeg is potent and a little goes a long way. Dilute to a maximum of 0.5–1% in a carrier oil for skin application and limit diffusion to 1–2 drops alongside complementary oils.
How to use: Add 1–2 drops to your diffuser. For massage, dilute to 0.5–1% in a carrier oil and apply to the area of concern. For bath use, blend into a tablespoon of carrier oil before adding to water.
Blends well with: Orange, Black Pepper, Ginger, Frankincense, Clary Sage, Bergamot FCF.
Safety: Contains myristicin and elemicin. Use at low dilution rates. Avoid during pregnancy. Use with caution if epileptic or under neurological care. External use only. Keep from children and pets. Store away from heat and light.
