Latin Name: Citrus Bergamia  |  Plant Part: Fruit Peel  |  Origin: Ivory Coast  |  Extraction: Cold Expression (FCF)

Bright, citrusy, and softly floral — Bergamot is one of the most elegant and versatile oils in aromatherapy. Cold pressed from the peel of Citrus Bergamia grown in Ivory Coast, this 100% pure essential oil delivers a fresh, uplifting citrus aroma with distinctive floral and slightly spicy undertones that set it apart from other citrus oils.

This is our FCF (Furocoumarin-Free) version — the furocoumarins that make standard bergamot phototoxic have been carefully removed, making this oil safe for topical use without the risk of sun sensitivity. All the aroma, none of the restriction.

  • Fresh, uplifting citrus aroma with soft floral and spicy undertones — bright and calming
  • FCF — furocoumarin-free and safe for topical use without photosensitivity risk
  • Widely used to ease anxiety, stress, and low mood when diffused
  • A cornerstone of natural perfumery — the defining note of Earl Grey tea
  • Excellent in skincare blends — balancing for oily and combination skin
  • Pairs beautifully with lavender, ylang ylang, jasmine, cedarwood, and patchouli
  • 100% pure, undiluted — no additives, carriers, or synthetic fragrance

Dilution guidance: Dilute to 1–2% in a carrier oil for topical use (approx. 6–12 drops per 30ml). As an FCF oil, photosensitivity risk is removed — safe for use on skin exposed to sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid during pregnancy without professional guidance.

Blending notes: Bergamot is one of the great bridging oils — it connects citrus top notes with floral and woody base notes effortlessly. Pair with lavender for a classic calming blend, or with ylang ylang and cedarwood for a sophisticated, mood-lifting diffuser combination.

Storage: Store in a cool, dark place. Shelf life approximately 1–2 years from opening — use within 12 months of opening for best aroma.
