Scots Pine is a reliable workhorse oil for treatment room blending. Its clean, non-polarising aroma makes it easy to use with a wide range of clients, and its functional properties translate well into both massage and inhalation protocols.

• Massage blends: At 2–3% in a carrier oil, Pine works well in pre-sport warm-up blends and post-exercise recovery massage alongside Juniper Berry and Black Pepper. For respiratory massage (chest and upper back), combine with Eucalyptus and Peppermint at a combined dilution of 2%.
• Diffusion in treatment rooms: A clean, neutral room scent that doesn’t impose on the client — useful between treatments to clear the air without leaving a heavy or sweet residue. 3–4 drops in a diffuser is sufficient for a standard treatment room.
• Inhalation protocols: Add 2–3 drops to a bowl of steaming water for steam inhalation, or use on a tissue for direct inhalation in respiratory support sessions.
• Blending ratios: As a top-to-mid note, Pine typically works at 20–30% of a blend by drop count. It holds well against stronger base notes like Cedarwood and Patchouli without being overwhelmed.
