Latin Name: Zingiber Officinale | Plant Part: Root (Rhizome) | Origin: India | Extraction: Steam Distillation
Warm, spicy, and deeply invigorating — Ginger is one of aromatherapy's most comforting and versatile oils. Steam distilled from the rhizome of Zingiber Officinale grown in India, this 100% pure essential oil delivers a rich, warm, earthy-spicy aroma with woody undertones that is both grounding and energising.
Cultivated for centuries across Asia and revered in Ayurvedic, Chinese, and Western herbal traditions, ginger is the oil that warms from the inside out.
- Warm, rich, earthy-spicy aroma with woody undertones — comforting and invigorating
- Traditionally associated with easing nausea and digestive discomfort in aromatherapy
- Excellent in warming massage blends for muscle aches, stiffness, and poor circulation
- Grounding and energising when diffused — supports motivation and mental clarity
- Pairs beautifully with black pepper, frankincense, orange, cedarwood, and bergamot
- 100% pure, undiluted — no additives, carriers, or synthetic fragrance
Dilution guidance: Dilute to 1–2% in a carrier oil for topical use (approx. 6–12 drops per 30ml). Use with care — ginger can cause skin sensitisation at higher concentrations. Not for use neat on skin. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid during pregnancy without professional guidance.
Blending notes: Ginger adds a dry, warming spice to blends without the sharpness of pepper or clove. Pair with black pepper and frankincense for a deeply warming muscle ease blend, or with sweet orange and cedarwood for a grounding, uplifting diffuser combination.
Storage: Store in a cool, dark place. Shelf life approximately 3–4 years from opening.
