How to Smudge
- Open a window or door to allow the smoke and any negative energy to leave the space
- Light the tip of your smudge stick and allow it to catch, then gently blow out the flame to produce a steady, fragrant smoke
- Move slowly through your space, directing the smoke into corners, doorways, and areas that feel heavy or stagnant
- Set a clear intention as you smudge — what you wish to release, and what you wish to invite in
- Rest the smudge stick in a heatproof dish or abalone shell to extinguish safely when finished
