New Warehouse Guide
This is our new warehouse guide. By popular demand, we have created this to help you understand how our warehousing works.
We have our own warehouse which we used to store all our products in, but as our product range and quantities grew we needed to either purchase more warehouse space or outsource to specialised warehouse companies.
Our main warehouse still stocks certain lines, but most of our stock is now in one of two warehouses operated by third parties. Whilst this allows us to control certain costs, it means we don't have so much control over other costs and procedures.
It does mean that there is a delivery charge from each warehouse. So if you purchase goods from us that span more than one warehouse, you will see a delivery charge for each. We have managed to still give you free shipping when you reach the free shipping threshold. This free shipping will span your entire order and all warehouses, unlike product based free shipping which we have on certain product lines. They have free shipping regardless of the rest of the order. So you will get free shipping on that item, generally very worthwhile when purchasing just that item. You may still have shipping charges from other items. Free shipping items still count towards the overall free shipping threshold, unlike digital products, which do not.
Each warehouse has its own pricing structure for deliveries. Our own HQ warehouse uses Royal Mail for all deliveries and as such doesn't have different charges for UK extended locations such as IoM, IoW, NI, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Scottish Islands.
The other warehouses tend to use Yodel or Everi and so make surcharges for the extended regions. We do our best to mitigate these where we can. We are also in constant talks to get our parcels sent via Royal Mail, especially to these locations, but these are ongoing at present. The more orders we get from these locations, the more pressure we can add to the need to use Royal Mail for these locations.
On occasion
Occasionally we notice a certain product line doing exceptionally well in one of the extended locations, we move some stock back to our HQ warehouse to enable us to send it via Royal Mail at reduced cost to you. We will update the stock location if we do this to enable you to find these easily.
